It may take one day or more if you stop by every place trying to see in detail but if you are determined to just roughly pass by it probably takes 4 hours or so.....See the distance on the map, for example it takes just less than 5-min to cross Westminster Bridge, if you walk little fast. Westminster Abbey
The building you see now was erected by Edward the Confessor in 1065, when he set his throne in the neighbouring Westminster Palace. Westminster Abbey has become the setting for coronations, burials, funerals and marriages.
Horse Guards
Past more government buildings including the Cabinet Office and next on your left is Horse Guards. There will be invariably a crowd around the entrance, where two costumed soldiers on horseback offer a premier picture opportunity,
