Travel Information about Ireland and Dublin

(GMT)22 OCT 2017 CHE2BR:  The Phoenix Park is one of the largest walled city parks in Europe and is home to the magnificent residences of the Irish President and the Ambassador of the United States. It’s a bit outside of city proper, but there’s an awesome endangered species-focused zoo, a beautiful tearoom, and there are deer that roam the park starting at dusk. Its 11 kilometre perimeter wall encloses 1,750 acres and includes the Garda Headquarters, Ashtown Castle, Dublin Zoo and the Papal Cross which was erected for the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1979.
