Wenceslas Square, actually shaped as a diagonal, is one of the main parts of New Town Prague.(not really a square, more like a boulevard) The cornerstone of the area is the magnificent statue of St. Wencelas, the patron saint of Bohemia. Travellers can see the daily life of locals here.
The place is big and long surrounded by wonderful buildings from the beginning of 20 century. The square includes a national museum, communist-era building that used to house Radio Free Europe in the 90’s, the State Opera is here, and a building that was the Gestapo headquarters in Prague during WWII
