Manhattan to Greenpoint : L Train to the G
To ride in from Manhattan on the L Train, transfer to the G at Lorimer Street in Brooklyn. Exit the L Train and walk to the right, down the ramp and past the turnstiles. If you need postage stamps, the kiosk there sells them. The Queens bound G line for Greenpoint is to the left, downstairs. Be advised that the G train is three cars shorter than the platform.
Manhattan to Greenpoint: E Train to the G
The E Train runs across Manhattan at 53rd Street, connecting with the 4, 5, 6 trains at Lexington Ave. On 8th Avenue, the E train connects with the A and C trains at both the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Penn Station. To get to Greenpoint, take the Queens (Jamaica Center) bound E train to Court Square Station. At Court Square, walk up the stairs at the end of the platform and down the corridor. At the end of the corridor there are sets of stairs that lead down to the G train platform.
